There’s something powerful about gathering around a table; especially when every bite helps strengthen communities close to home. That’s the heart of Catering for a Cause, and this year’s event was nothing short of extraordinary.
We were proud to be part of such a meaningful evening right here in our neighbouring community of Newmarket, where local generosity, incredible food, and a shared purpose came together in the best way possible.
A Huge Success Close to Home
On May 27th, the historic Old Town Hall came alive with vibrant energy as guests enjoyed an unforgettable night of food, music, and connection. Thanks to the amazing support from attendees, organizers, and sponsors, we’re thrilled to share that over $20,000 was raised to support a local non-profit, an incredible achievement that truly reflects the power of community.
An Evening to Remember
Curated by A Million Mouthfuls Catering, the evening showcased just how impactful local ingredients can be when they’re placed in the hands of talented chefs. Guests enjoyed:
- A diverse menu featuring fresh, local ingredients; mini gwillimdale farms potatoes, carrots and onions we’re enjoyed.
- Live music that created the perfect atmosphere
- Exciting raffle prizes
- Meaningful connections with neighbours, friends, and community leaders
What made the evening even more special was knowing that every dollar raised would go directly toward supporting a community-selected charity.

Why Gwillimdale Farms Was Proud to Support
At Gwillimdale Farms, we believe food is more than nourishment; it’s connection. For this event, our fresh, locally grown produce was featured throughout the evening’s menu, incorporated into thoughtfully prepared dishes that highlighted the quality and flavour of Ontario-grown food.
Seeing our vegetables used in such creative and delicious ways, while contributing to a greater cause was incredibly rewarding. It’s one of the many ways we strive to support our community beyond the farm.
